114: In Appreciation of Torkom’s Work

From Gita to our readers:
I received this lovely email from a dear friend and wanted to share it with you on Torkom’s Blog. Starling’s scholarly research into the Great Invocation gives all of us a high water mark of understanding the Teaching of the Great Ones. When I first met him, he was seated behind me at the Center in Sedona. It was his first time there! I wanted to include his words here as a way to complete the cycle of the Three major full moons and the deeper meanings of the Great Invocation. Here then are his thoughts:

Good Morning from Stockholm, Gita, where spring has finally arrived!

I was especially glad to receive this email of yours on Friday the 10th of May. Here's why.

When it came in, I was vacationing with my wife and daughter in the south of Sweden, in a town called Ystad.

Just before waking I recalled an interesting dream concerning you and your father's books.

113 - The Great Invocation

Dear Readers: The Great Invocation is an endless resource of study and meditation. Every year during the Aries, Taurus, and Gemini full moons, we specifically focus on studying the Great Invocation. In this post, we want to share very simple and brief, yet deeply intriguing, information on the multiple layers of meaning in the Great Invocation. See if you can intuit the the many layers of communication and interconnection that results from saying this mantram:

To inspire humanity and to put a constructive tool in its hands, the Hierarchy gave humanity the Great Invocation. The Great Invocation had been used in the Hierarchy for many ages when it was given in 1945 to a small group of humanity. Since then, it has spread all over the world, and today it is spoken in hundreds of languages.

                                    LIGHT            LOVE              POWER
Human sources            throat center     heart center      head center
Planetary sources          humanity         Hierarchy         Shamballa
Cosmic sources            Eye of Taurus   Sirius               Great Bear

The Great Invocation is built on the geometry of the number nine. Man has within him light, love, and the power of direction. When you say the Great Invocation, the first thing you do is coordinate your system. You synthesize, or pull together, three of your main centers and create a projection of light into space. When you say, “Let Light and Love and Power, restore the Plan on Earth,” you are the earth and you invoke the throat, heart, and head centers within you. You also synthesize and integrate the three planetary centers — humanity, Hierarchy, and Shamballa.

The Great Invocation:

From the point of Light within the Mind of God
Let light stream forth into the minds of men.
Let Light descend on Earth.
From the point of Love within the Heart of God
Let love stream forth into the hearts of men.
May Christ return to Earth.
From the centre where the Will of God is known
Let purpose guide the little wills of men
The purpose which the Masters know and serve.
From the centre which we call the race of men
Let the Plan of Love and Light work out
And may it seal the door where evil dwells.
Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth.

112 - Studies on The Great Invocation

    Dear Readers:

We are pleased to present to you a series of scholarly research papers from a long-time student of the Ageless Wisdom Teachings, Starling Hunter. Dr. Hunter is passionate about the Great Invocation. He began his research to find the underlying foundation for the Invocation and over the years has spent countless hours of work and in-depth research.

Why do we say the Invocation as it is originally given? Why does Torkom say not to change anything from the Invocation? What are the words of power and internal meanings of this seemingly simple yet powerful series of words? Why are we told that Christ pronounces these words daily in His blessings of humanity? Since it was first given in 1945, people all over the world have said these words and translated them into many languages. Sometimes, we see that people have changed the words, added a few here and there and omitted a few here and there. Yet, the Great Teachers have admonished us never to change a Mantram for the power of a Mantram is in the original wording. In trying to understand the meaning of a world Invocation, we learn the meaning of the unity of humanity.

In these papers, Starling Hunter clearly shows us why this is so, and clearly shows us the very fine and intricate construction of the Great Invocation. We present these links to you free of charge, as a gift from Dr. Hunter and a gift from all of us at TSG. We hope you enjoy them and benefit from them.

The Gemini Full Moon is called by many names: The Festival of Christ; the Festival of Humanity; Great Invocation Day. During the week leading up to the Gemini Full Moon, and every day after that, try to find a few moments and pronounce these powerful affirmations. Your heartfelt pronouncements will reach the consciousness of all humanity and build a protective shield around us and link us with the Higher Worlds.

Thank you Starling Hunter for sharing your wisdom and research with all of us. We wish you all a joyful Invocation Day.

Gratefully,
Gita Saraydarian

111 - Exercises for Goodwill

Dear Readers: Gemini is known as the full moon of goodwill. It is a time to become conscious of what we think, do, and say every day. What we think, do, or say creates chemical changes in our bodies and eventually affects our life. If we want to have goodwill in life and have life respond in goodwill toward us,  then we need to be willing to exercise this virtue every day until it becomes second nature to us.  Here is an excerpt from Torkom on goodwill:

Exercises for Goodwill

1. Whenever you feel negative about someone, immediately pray for him, so that the barrier you created is evaporated. Ask God to bless him. You do not bless him, but ask God to bless him. Eventually you will see that a bridge between you and him will be built through which goodwill can circulate.

2. If you have a negative attitude toward someone, send him a gift or card. Remember his birthday with a card, or write him a nice letter. You must try to communicate with the God within him. Goodwill is the substance of higher communications. Goodwill is the art of communication.

3. Change your negative thoughts into positive ones. Negative thoughtforms can transmit poison into your system. You will see what a healthy nervous system you will have if you try to live in goodwill, and you will have less medical bills to pay!
