135 - I Am Satisfied - Poem by a student

I AM SATISFIED

In times of threat
I welcome  you to take my hands
I welcome you to take  my arms, my legs or my body
As I need them no longer sooner or later
Take my wits as well
    As I only need wisdom
Take all my possessions too
    As I long for detachment
In that moment
     I am satisfied
By realizing I exist in the eternal
Which is bound by no space and time
   I am satisfied

A day of heat
     Evaporates all my desires
A day of rain
    Cleanses all my evil thoughts
A day of sleeplessness
Brings me back to the moment
    That I should be grateful
For the briefest moment of rest
The briefest relief from this changing world
In that moment
     I am satisfied
By realizing I exist in the unchanging eternal
Which is bound by no space and time
    I am satisfied
